La società AC Rimini comunica - in una nota - di avere sottoscritto in data odierna l'accordo con il tecnico Salvatore Campilongo, che ricoprirà il ruolo di allenatore della prima squadra biancorossa nella stagione 2014/2015.

Il tecnico sarà presentato ufficialmente domani (giovedì 3 luglio) alle ore 12 nella sala stampa del “Romeo Neri”, nel corso della conferenza stampa a cui parteciperà anche il presidente Fabrizio De Meis.

Dopo il direttore sportivo, Ivano Pastore, il Rimini presenta il nuovo tecnico, Salvatore Campilongo. Ad aprire la conferenza stampa di presentazione (che sarà trasmessa su Icaro Sport (canale 91) questa sera alle 22,45) il presidente della società biancorossa, Fabrizio De Meis: "prima della presentazione, visto che stiamo rifondando la Società, a chi lo vuole forniremo il libro della storia centenaria del Rimini. E' un libro il cui incasso è interamente devoluto in beneficenza. E' pertanto un'iniziativa doppiamente importante. Oggi lo regalo al mister e al direttore sportivo".

Il presidente poi introduce Salvatore Campilongo.
"E' l'unico mister che abbiamo incontrato. Ha fatto molto bene nelle categorie professionistiche, ma anche in serie D. Abbiamo sempre la piccola speranza di fare il salto di categoria tramite il ripescaggio, e lui ha un percorso importantissimo in tutte le società professionistiche in cui ha allenato, ma è anche riuscito a vincere il girone e lo scudetto del campionato di serie D. Come dicevamo ieri insieme al direttore sportivo, il mister non ha mai parlato di ripescaggio, nel suo scegliere Rimini ha fatto una valutazione sul progetto. Ci ha inoltre aspettato senza alcuna garanzia, perché eravamo impegnati in una trattativa di cui non sapevamo neanche noi l'esito. L'augurio che gli faccio è centrare successi importanti e costruire una squadra che possa dare soddisfazioni a me, alla piazza e a tutti quanti".

Tocca quindi al nuovo tecnico del Rimini raccontarsi.
"Penso che di un allenatore sia importante valutare il lavoro - le prime parole di Campilongo -. Non ci ho messo niente a scegliere Rimini dopo aver valutato il progetto che mi hanno presentato il presidente e il direttore sportivo Pastore. Mi sono sentito subito partecipe di questo progetto e mi piace molto l'entusiasmo del presidente. Non ci ho pensato due volte e ho accettato con grandissimo entusiasmo. Sono una persona abituata a non fare molti proclami, ma a lavorare sul campo. Mi dedico al lavoro e alla famiglia, non mi piacciono troppo le cose fuori dal campo.
E' un lavoro che mi piace, sono un professionista, per cui devo cercare di dare sempre il meglio di me stesso. Ho notato lo scoramento per la brutta retrocessione. Bisogna riportare entusiasmo e riportare la società dove merita. Il Rimini ha un passato glorioso, una storia alle spalle. Spero di ritagliarmi anch'io, insieme al presidente e al direttore sportivo, uno spazio nella storia di questa società e di questa città.

"Da calciatore ho girato l'Italia - continua Campilongo -, negli ultimi anni sono stato al Sud e adesso posso conoscere questa nuova realtà. Da quando alleno ho prediletto il 4-3-3, ma non sono un integralista. Sono solo numeri".

Campilongo è tornato ad allenare nel Campionato Nazionale Dilettanti l'anno scorso, ad Ischia.
"Prima di allenare l'Ischia non facevo più questa categoria da dieci anni - è ancora il tecnico a parlare -. Ho iniziato il mio percorso da allenatore nel 2003 con la Casertana in serie D, poi ho conquistato una salvezza miracolosa in tre mesi ad Ariano Irpino. E quindi erano dieci anni che non facevo questa categoria. Mi sono confrontato con questo problema degli under, perché è un problema, quest'anno forse meno dell'anno scorso quando dovevi stare con la calcolatrice in mano a vedere chi doveva giocare per rispettare il parametro dell'età media.
Sapevo di dover fare bene e costruire una squadra per vincere, perché quando passi tanti anni in B e torni in D hai il fucile puntato addosso. Invece noi ad Ischia abbiamo costruito una buona squadra, pensando agli uomini prima che ai calciatori e abbiamo iniziato a lavorare per lo stesso obiettivo. Principalmente il successo è stato merito dei miei giocatori. Cos'altro si può chiedere a una squadra che fa 87 punti e poi vince anche lo scudetto di D? In questa categoria devi avere i giovani bravi. Il problema quando nasce una squadra di serie D è dove mettere i giovani. Molti dicono: mettiamoli sugli esterni, dove fanno meno danni. Non è necessariamente così. Si parte comunque di solito con l'obiettivo di averne due sugli esterni e qualcuno davanti".

Le era mai capitato di dover ricostruire una squadra da zero, come sarà quest'anno a Rimini?
"L'anno scorso ad Ischia siamo partiti da zero - risponde il tecnico -. Abbiamo preso 17-18 giocatori nuovi, anche qualcuno in più.
Rimini oggi deve creare un gruppo con ragazzi che si sentano partecipi del progetto.
Quando c'è una retrocessione è sempre dura da accettare ed è meglio ripartire da zero. Certo, si possono fare alcune eccezioni. Il presidente, per esempio, mi ha dato grandi attestati di stima nei confronti di Scotti, sia come portiere che come persona".

Come sarà composto il suo staff tecnico?
"Per lo staff mi porto dietro il mio preparatore dei portieri, Franco Cotugno. Sono 30 anni che ci conosciamo perché abbiamo anche giocato insieme. Non solo come preparatore è uno dei più bravi in Italia (partecipa regolarmente ai camp del Milan), ma è anche una gran persona.
Il mio secondo sarà Marco Arno, un mio ex giocatore. Per il preparatore atletico ho preferito far fare la scelta alla società e adesso insieme al direttore stiamo valutando alcuni professionisti".

Campilongo è un estimatore di un ex allenatore biancorosso, Leonardo Acori.
"Qui c'è stato un allenatore che stimo molto e che sono venuto a vedere: Leo Acori. Entro in punta di piedi, spero di coinvolgere la città, la tifoseria. Ma non a parole, partendo dal campo. Bisogna prima di tutto creare un collettivo, un gruppo dove i giocatori devono trascinare la città, i tifosi. Giocatori attaccati alla maglia, che vogliono fare risultato. Ho fatto così in altre città. Il mio obiettivo è creare un connubio squadra-tifoseria-città. Voglio ricreare questo grandissimo entusiasmo e credo sia possibile solo vedendo una squadra correre, sudare, lottare e che dia tutto. Penso che la tifoseria apprezzerà".

E' ipotizzabile un ritorno in maglia a scacchi di Adrian Ricchiuti?
"Con Adrian ci siamo conosciuti a Catania. Lo volevo portare ad Ischia. E' un giocatore straordinario. Credo sia stato uno dei protagonisti del Catania. E' un giocatore che può far parte della nostra società. Ma lo valuteremo insieme al presidente e al direttore sportivo".

Pensa di avere la rosa al completo il giorno della partenza per il ritiro?
"Il 24 luglio porterò i ragazzi al campo per dei test, in modo che i tifosi possano conoscerli. Poi, il 27, andremo in ritiro. Spero di avere una base della squadra abbastanza completa".

Il presidente De Meis, sollecitato, torna a parlare delle possibilità di ripescaggio del Rimini in Legapro: "se ci dovessero essere dalle tre alle cinque escluse secondo me potremmo avere ottime possibilità. "Tre-quattro ragazzi del settore giovanile del Rimini li porteremo in ritiro".

Il direttore sportivo, Ivano Pastore, spiega come si muoverà il Rimini sul mercato.
"Partiamo dal presupposto che noi il campionato lo dobbiamo vincere. Abbiamo definito alcuni ruoli cardine: i difensori centrali, il mediano e l'attaccante. Qui inizieremo a cercare i giocatori giusti. Per l'attaccante preferiamo un giocatore da tanti gol in D".

Mangiarano continua a lavorare per il Rimini, a dispetto di alcune voci che lo vorrebbero all'Ancona.
